Hello again, sorry about the post upstairs. I've tested gutsy gibbon, still the problem exist with this error message :
"ata1 is slow to respond, please be patient" I'll post the complete var/log/messages if you need it. spec is still the same, using Acer aspire 9412. Gutsy seems to be better handling this error though, the freezes don't lock everything like 6.06. It's just that the application(s) I run when the bug occur don't respond for some seconds.
