I hope the user is told what the valid ones are, eg. by drop-down box as suggested above.
Is the user going to be expected to know the weird grub naming convention, which seems to be used nowhere else in the installer, or is the installer going to show the same drive/partition names as are used by the rest of the installation and by the final running system.
