OK, I think I see the bug here. Believe it or not, it actually seems to
be as far down the stack as debian-installer-utils (specifically, log-
output breaks lines into 1024-byte pieces due to a quirk of how the
di_exec_* functions work). I've committed a fix for this upstream and
will get it into Ubuntu ASAP, so that we can make sure this really fixes
the bug.
