Since policy changes will affect the overall speed of ubiquity for a given set of installation conditions:
Is there a record generated in an ubiquity log file that captures this installation time? If not, could a simple script be added so that interested folks could keep track of installation times? Perhaps something a little more sophisticated than (pseudo code): dmesg | grep "Installation finished" - dmesg | grep "Installation started" This would be helpful going forward. Faster installs ==> greater adoption. -- Ubiquity should advise kernel to discard pages from copied files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197579 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
