Chad, I definitely agree with you, this must be unrelated. Right now I am not able to reproduce the (supposed) kswapd mysterious bug with Ubuntu 64 bits and more RAM, even with heavy swapping used. So, if you are able to get some traces, please forward them to the Linux kernel thread.
