Just some little comments:
- Please remove "Application" from the the Categories list and let the
description start with a verb (and preferably it should explain what you
can do with the program, not what it is); if the value of Name could be
a bit more descriptive too that would be awesome (look at the menu
entries of the packages which come by default for reference, eg.
"Firefox Web Browser", "OpenOffice.org Text Processor", etc).
- It isn't necessary to add /usr/share/applications to debian/dirs
(dh_install will take care to create it itself).
- By the way, the syntax to close Ubuntu bugs is just "LP: #xxxx", not
"Closes LP: #xxxx".
