Thanks for all the time you took to improve that bug report. Your bug
report has already been reported as bug 190414 so I will mark this bug
as a duplicate of this one. It would be very great if you can attach the
following informations to that bug, this will really help kernel
developers :
1. uname -a > uname-a.log
2. cat /proc/version_signature > version.log
3. dmesg > dmesg.log
4. sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log
Also an additional workaround that should work for you : To avoid that
very long boot time, add "clocksource=hpet" (without the quotes) to your
ubuntu kernel boot line. If it works, you can apply it permanently by
editing your /boot/grub/menu.list file.
