I guess it is the best to mark this bug as fixed since the original reporter
and other users have confirmed it.
Feel free to open it again if the issue still happens with i915 graphic card
and Hardy Alpha 6 Live CD or later.

Since you might have a different graphic card or a not recognized one I would
create a new bug report and upload all the needed data.
