Public bug reported:
today, I booted my hardy computer and found SCIM (with its panel
notification icon) running, and activatind each time I hit shift+space,
making me type in russian. SCIM was nowhere to be found in the session
startup properties and right-click-quitting the panel icon made it
reappear instantly. The only way for me to get rid of this was removing
all those scim packages in synaptic.
Just reporting this to let you know.
