Haven't yet heard a sound while running Ubuntu 7.10 64 bit via its
speakers or the mic. Help me, this is my only hope!

I am having problems running the alsa-info script:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Desktop$ ./alsa-info.sh --no-upload
bash: ./alsa-info.sh: Permission denied
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Desktop$ sudo ./alsa-info.sh --no-upload
sudo: ./alsa-info.sh: command not found

Also having problems running command:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/Desktop$ sudo dpkg -i linux-ubuntu-modules-$(uname -r)
dpkg: error processing linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22-14-generic (--install):
 cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
 linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22-14-generic
