Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: azureus

% cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=8.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=hardy
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu hardy (development branch)"

% apt-cache policy azureus
azureus:
  Installed: 2.5.0.4-1ubuntu3

Repro Steps
--
1.  Start '/usr/bin/azureus'.

Expected Behavior
--
Azureus starts successfully.

Actual Behavior
--
Azureus starts, shows the GUI, and then crashes.

Notes
--
This reproduces with Sun's Java 5 and Sun's Java 6. This was reproduced by
setting the shell variable "AZUREUS_JAVA" to the path of the Java binary
(/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/jre/bin/java and
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-sun/jre/bin/java)

If 'ulimit -c 0' is set, then the GUI is not shown at all and the
application dies silently.

Workaround
--
Start a terminal.
Execute 'LIBXCB_ALLOW_SLOPPY_LOCK=1 /usr/bin/azureus'

** Affects: azureus (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
