Hi, I've been struggling with this issue until I found out in another
post that Linux had been complaining about IRQ port clash. So, I
remembered that in old pc's with Windows, if you set IRQ of the modem to
the same value as the mouse, both modem and mouse would be fighting to
get cpu's attention and that's why I think it's happening here.

I removed my mouse from PS2 port and it has been plugged in a USB port
and Internet don't woes since then. So, probably the problem here is
with how Ubuntu is setting PS-2 irq's and Network hardwares.
