Happened on two machines: Athlon 64 with an Nvidia GeForce 6200 AGP with one VGA display, Core 2 Duo with an Nvidia 7600 GT PCI-E with two DVI displays. Both running Ubuntu 7.10 64-bit.
On both machines, the detected refresh rate is 50 hz. In the Compiz settings, this detected refresh rate is used be default. However, using the display's built-in menus showed the refresh rate was 60 hz. When I manually set this refresh rate in the Compiz settings, the tearing artifacts went away. -- incorrect refresh rate detected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/155229 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
