I got the same problem. Every time I copy/paste files or double click on a media files to play, this bug occurs, the problem first appears when you click on a media file the file's icon disappears then when you try to access any directory an error prompts stating "The folder contents could not be displayed" and if you close the browser you can't even open another one, so need every time this occurs you need to kill nautilus and it would auto start again. But with luck after killing nautilus, it didn't auto start so I tried to backtrace the issue through gdb and got some interesting stuff there I guess.
