I noticed the same. It appears that this happens @ screens with high
resolutions (1920x1200), as at another laptop (1280x768 or so) the fonts
were not that huge. Can anyone confirm that?
You can change the appearence of most gtk-fonts if you run the KDE3
Systemsettings within KDE4 and change the appearance there. But the only
application thas still looks ugly is Firefox.
