Note: I am using Kubuntu.
I upgraded on 22 February 2008 to KDE 3.5.9 from 3.5.8.
Since the upgrade my plugin usb stick 2gb memory is invisible to KDE.
Prior to the upgrade, I inserted the stick and soon after I got a window asking
me what to do with it.
I do not get this anymore.
Prior to the upgrade, I saw an icon on the desktop for the usb device.
I do not get that.
I did get 'once' since the upgrade two icons (at once!) on my taskbar which
displayed the usb stick .
A right-click on the taskbar icons got me a popup > Media + Configure.
I have got nothing since.
/media reports nothing about the stick.
fdisk -l shows the device as /dev/sda1.
It does mount.
I went into System Settings - Desktop - Behaviour and the removable
drive check boxes are marked.
