Public bug reported:

I have a Linksys WMP54g ver 4.1 wifi card installed on my desktop. On
Feisty it refused to work at all. In Gutsy it works but I have to type
the WPA key every time I log on (although it seems to be stored in the
keyring). However I have noticed a different problem as well. After
connecting to the network for some time (varies from 5 to 20 or 30
minutes) the browser stops responding as if I had been disconnected. At
the same time the network manager indicates that I am still "connected"
(I usually have 4 or 5 out of 5 bars in signal strenth). I have to left
click on the wireless signal icon, select my home network once more and
I am ready to go again. This is quite annoying and I believe it's a bug
having to do with the specific card and gutsy network manager. I dual
boot with XP in this desktop and have never noticed the same thing (so
it's not a wireless card malfunction issue). I am also using a sony vaio
laptop in my home network (with xp and ubuntu dual boot) and I have
never noticed such disconnections with my laptop while browsing with
ubuntu.
