Some additional information:
$ amixer
amixer: Mixer default load error: No such file or directory
kmix only shows Master, Microphone, CD, PCM and Digital, all in the
"output"-tab. There are no more channels available.
kmix shows the soundchip as Realtek ALC861.
Muting and moving of the sliders is possible but has got no effect.
