1) Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 + all updates
2) Synaptic Package Manager
3) Synaptic 0.60ubuntu5
4) When going into settings>preferences: I changed the setting to delete cached
files after installation. I expected the apply or OK button to cause the
changes to be accepted.
5) The desktop locks up, and forces a restart to clear out residual problem
left from the failed attempt at changing the settings.
