Do you really still have ESP Ghostscript? Since Gutsy ESP Ghostscript
was merged into GPL Ghostscript and ESP Ghostscript got discontinued.
Which Ubuntu version are you using? What is the output of "gs- h"?
If you really still have ESP Ghostscript, try using Ubuntu Gutsy or
Hardy via a live CD. Do you still have this problem there?
