Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: displayconfig-gtk

Hardy 8.04
I could not set my screen resolution upwards, I came up at 800x600 and would
not let me go up at all only lower to 640x480, At that point it just crashed,
6.10 7.04 and 7.10 all detected my card along with a much higher resolution.
You are doing a great job, keep up the good work.
