I experience a similar problem in 64-bit Edgy Beta (+ a few days worth of updates) where the swap partition isn't mounted. The "sudo swapon -a" command failed with the message that the partition with UUID=.... could not be found.
After changing the UUID label to /dev/sda5 in /etc/fstab the swapon command worked, and the swap partition was mounted at reboot. Now, I run several other flavours of Linux (Dapper, Gentoo) on the same computer and HD (though not at the same time). They all share the same swap partition, /dev/sda5. -- Same UUID for different partitions... https://launchpad.net/bugs/63384 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
