Repro Steps
--
1.  Start a Gnome Desktop session.
2.  Hibernate.
3.  Reboot into the hibernated session.
4.  Restart GDM (X was not displaying properly, garbled).
5.  Start a Gnome Desktop session.


Expected Result
--
'atieventsd' does not crash.
