I have run the strace command (see attached stace1.log). Long latencies
where on the lines
[pid 6989] open("/home/frese/.gconfd/saved_state.tmp",
O_WRONLY|O_CREAT|O_TRUNC, 0700) = 14
[pid 6987] open("/etc/hosts", O_RDONLY|0x80000 /* O_??? */) = 46
The re-rendering of the window takes also around 2min. I had to terminate the
process, because I was not able to quit firefox
by the menu.
Maybe it's helpful that I experienced problems with my hostname after
upgrade of kNetworkmanager
I donnot have a firfox-3.0 crash file in my /var/crash directory, but a
_usr_lib_firefox_firefox-bin.1000.crash. I don't remeber if the crash
date was before or after i did the upgrade.
