Bas, this looks like a problem caused by the RtApi error/warnings.
Is this still an issue for you?
Ubuntu Gutsy hast lastfm 1.3.0.62-2 and in Hardy we currently have
1.4.2.58240.dfsg-1ubuntu1. It sounds likely that this may be fixed.
