I updated my PC with sudo apt-get update then upgraded. Then an addition
the to the time in the upper right of the default GNOME desktop showed
up which specified the weather . . . sky conditions (sunny/cloudy/etc.)
and the temperature. This weather data was incorrect. I clocked on the
time applet and clicked on "Edit" under "Locattions". Under the
"Locations" tab I was able to edit the default Rainy River location and
choose the longitude and latitude coordinates of my town. Under
"weather" tab i could only choose the units (Fahrenheit vs. Celcius and
m/s vs. km/h). None of this changed the temperature and sky conditions
to what is accurate. How can I either change tis so that it reports
correctly or disable this weather applet so that it does not show up at
all?

I attached a screenshot showing the error in a previous post.
