I am new here but have been tracking this bug for months now. I have hardy alpha 5 and sound works great out of speakers, but like many others here I have nothing with the headphones. However I discovered that if I insert the headphone jack to a certain specific point (not all the way in, just slightly more than halfway) I can get normal sound. Obviously this is not practical, but interesting nonetheless.
I am a newb about audio hardware.
