4. I expect scim to keep from interfering with normal typing.
5. Shift-Space is one of the default keybindings for scim and if you
don't let go of the shift key quickly enough when typing scim will
change your default keyboard language. Recommend Shift-Space be removed
as a default hotkey combination. This happened to me several times a
day until I discovered that in addition to being a lazy typist, default
scim configuration was causing problems.
