Public bug reported: Binary package hint: tzdata
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=8.04 DISTRIB_CODENAME=hardy DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu hardy (development branch)" In Clock 2.21.92 (gnome), the assumed timezone for Canada -> Alberta -> High Level is, America/Dawson_Creek. This is incorrect -- Dawson Creek does not observe DST while High Level does. I suggest America/Edmonton instead. See http://www.timetemperature.com/tzca/canada_time_zone.shtml for a timezone map of Canada. All locations in Alberta observe DST, while some mountain areas in BC do not. Therefore no Alberta city should use a BC city for the default timezone. cheers :). ** Affects: tzdata (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- wrong default timezone for high level, alberta, canada https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/200231 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
