Do be reasonable. You're saying this is OK because, instead of the chording I've been using for 15 years, I can now switch to clicking the scroll wheel? And to do this thing, all I need is a program which is not even packaged in Ubuntu? That's just silly. The upstream developers realize this is a bug in evdev 1.2, which is why it's been fixed in evdev 2.0.
