I am happily listening to music on my powerbook g4. For me the linux- powerpc-smp images work fine.
ii linux-image-2.6.24-12-powerpc 2.6.24-12.19 -- audio stalls after a few seconds. ii linux-image-2.6.24-12-powerpc-smp 2.6.24-12.19 -- audio works fine. Has anyone else had luck getting audio to work by using the smp image? I've been using the smp kernel to get audio working since the problem first started. I've attached the results of 'diff config-2.6.24-12-powerpc config-2.6.24-12-powerpc-smp'. There's nothing easy that I can spot that make a difference. ~$ cat /proc/cpuinfo processor : 0 cpu : 7455, altivec supported clock : 667.000000MHz revision : 0.1 (pvr 8001 0201) bogomips : 66.56 total bogomips : 66.56 timebase : 33331265 platform : PowerMac machine : PowerBook3,4 motherboard : PowerBook3,4 MacRISC2 MacRISC Power Macintosh detected as : 73 (PowerBook Titanium III) pmac flags : 0000001b L2 cache : 256K unified pmac-generation : NewWorld ** Attachment added: "config-2.6.24-12.diff" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/12529748/config-2.6.24-12.diff -- No sound in linux-image-2.6.20-8-powerpc G4 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/87652 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
