I can confirm this bug.
It doesn't happen if the system is booted on the 2.6.24-11 version
kernel : should we specify linux-2.6.24-12 as the package having the bug
?
I'm using the Area 51 m9750 from Alienware and a 82801G (ICH7 Family)
High Definition Audio Controller sound card according to System >>
Preference >> Hardware Information.
