I have read carefully the bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi-support/+bug/44393 but it
doesn't seems to be a duplicate of mine because the proposed workaround doesn't
work.
And, since the bug 44393 had been closed but the problem persists, I decided to
request to reopen this bug.
More informations:
Close lid.
Open lid.
/proc/acpi/button/lid/*/state says "state: closed"
Trying to force state through this script, fails:
$ UDI=`hal-find-by-property --key info.product --string 'Lid Switch'`
$ hal-set-property --udi $UDI --key button.state.value --bool false
because /proc/acpi/button/lid/*/state remains in a closed state.
