iam using feisty fawn 7.10,i have Hangzhou Silan ethernet card.this card is not
detected by default installation of ubuntu,since dapper.it uses external
drivers that i after googlling and using this guide

i inserted module after compiling drivers(also missing kernel headers),but dont
know how to make it detect this card at boot.secondly,now it shows "WIRED NETWO
RK". connected,but when i open it to configure the device ip address etc system
hangs.
I am using 24online in India:they gave me exe to establish connection to server
with username and password to input.wine doesn't run it.also the site gave me a
linux file that doesnt open in Ubuntu,"crclient".the file doesnt show any
extensions in XP,.i can connect inside xp easily.also i have xp drivers with me.
