update: after testing Option "SWCursor" "1" since my last post, i can say it's definitely more stable, so the reason must be in the wide area of DRI, hardware cursor, aiglx and composite. so this bug forces you to basic 2D or the deprecated i810.
@unggnu: yes will try the hardy live cd on the weekend when i have some time, but this will only assure that this bug hasn't made it over to hardy, what i personally don't believe, since there where many changes to the intel driver. but this won't close this bug since it should be really hard to port the newer driver version back to gutsy since it depends on a newer xserver. i also wonder why you marked this report as incomplete, as i have posted logs, backtraces, testing results, links to different bugtrackers and other informations. -- [gutsy] X crashes randomly - something with cursors?
