Binary package hint: sound-juicer
The setup:
Ubuntu 7.10 on a notebook with NetworkManager installed
To reproduce:
1. Unplug the network cable so that NM sees no network;
2. Insert audio CD;
Result:
SJ tries to get the CD info from the net, which does not fail/time out, so SJ
just waits and does not continue. This wait is accompanied by high CPU usage
which drains the battery.
