Stijn, virtualbox does not require a new/another kernel (which then
triggers the bug apparently or you are missing some (restricted?)
modules for the other kernel). Is it from -generic to -386 for you?
I'm marking it as duplicate of bug 188579, because it's the root cause
("virtualbox-ose-modules pulls in new kernel").
