Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz-fusion-plugins-main
Version of Ubuntu: Hardy Heron I installed the Compiz configuration settings manager so that I could configure Compiz to my liking. I use the Scale plugin (which give the same effect as Apple OSX's Expose) for selecting windows. This works correctly on Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbons) After upgrading to Hardy Heron, I reconfigured my Compiz setting to match my previous settings however for Scale plugin this is what I use: No keyboard keybinding - it's a behaviour that use the mouse so it make better sense to use the mouse to initate the plugin and this is the setting I use: Windows from same workspace - Top screen, button 1 Windows from all workspaces - Top right screen, button 3 Expected behaviour is: Top Screen, click button 1 - Windows scale (like Expose) and I pick the window to switch to with Button 1 again. Top Right Screen, click button 3 - Windows from all workspaces scale and I pick the window to switch to with button 1 again. What happens instead is: Top Screen, click button 1 - Windows scale. Let go of button 1 - things go back to normal - I am unable to use Scale Top Right Screen, click button 3 - Windows scale from all workspaces, Let go of button 3 - it all goes back (as above) This is the same for any combination of top/right/bottom/others screen and mouse buttons Compiz bug listing show this as bug #11331 - Inconsistent behaviour with Initiate Scale keybindings - http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11331 with patches available. ** Affects: compiz-fusion-plugins-main (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: compiz hardy keybinding mouse mouseclicks plugin scale -- [hardy] Compiz Plugin Scale keybinding for mouse give inconsistent behaviour https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/201392 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
