Ok, I shut down powernowd, turned off the kernel apic jazz, and FREEZE! This is not a powernowd bug I'd reckon.
Anybody else who's having this issue (1) Are you running gnome or kde ( I'm running gnome ) (2) Any chance you're hitting the Windows button+B on your keyboard right before this happens? ( When this happens for me, it's almost always right after i hit that key sequence.
