Do you need those commands run on the same system that was installed, or can another system (feisty) on the same hardware suffice? Because after the install, I have troubles with the first boot: it sends me into busybox. So I can either run those commands in busybox (though I don't know how I'll get the files off the machine as I have no network in busybox), or in Feisty which I run from a different partition on the same machine.
