Public bug reported:
I've got a report from very early beginners with Ubuntu: they booted the
liveCD, got the desktop with just the Install and Examples icons, and
weren't able to do anything with that (they didn't want to install
Ubuntu, just to try it), and hence gave up. Adding a "start here!"
balloon pointing at the "Applications" menu would help in that case.
