Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: acpi-support

I have Hardy heron alpha 6 with kernel 2.6.24-11-generic

Just now i updated the computer. The update didn't succeded properly.
It stopped with a crash of the package "fronted" in usr/share/debconf.

I went into var/crash and tried to report the crash
"usr_share_debconf_fronted.0.crash" but i couldn't do anything.
Nothing worked so i tried to log in and out and it stopped with a text showing
up
saying "the greeter application appears to be crashing, Attempting to use a
diffrent one"

Now i tried to restart the computer, it didn't went through right so i
reinstalled it. Now im
not dare to update the computer after that.

** Affects: acpi-support (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
