I have applied the patch, but it has no effect at all. I have also tried deleting and reinstalling the proprietary plug-in (by deleting /usr/share/hplip/data/plugins/*, /usr/share/cups/model/hpijs/HP/hp_color_laserjet_3600-hpijs.ppd, and /usr/share/hplip/prnt/plugins/lj*) and reinstalling the printer with hp- setup (which re-downloads the plug-in). But as the plugin file on the server is of Feb 26, you have probably not fixed anything there.
