I'd rather be able to see the information that will be sent before it is sent. That way I don't have to memorise what apport will send, I can edit it any way I want, and although I can't protect myself against malicious coding, I can certainly catch the result of inadvertent privacy leaks by apport. No extra step is needed: just make apport fill in the editable textarea in which the user puts the bug report with the extra information that apport provides. reportbug does this admirably with its email-based system; I'm just suggesting that apport do the same with its web-based system.
