I have the same problem with different systems (i386, amd64) at work and at home. Disabling antialiasing has no effect.
With diagrams in calc the situation is very problematic for productivity. On i386, the problem doesn't appear with official openoffice 2.4.0rc2 packages. The Xorg cpu usage increase very much when scrolling, and decrease after scrolling.
