I am currently running Kubuntu-KDE4 alpha 6 (installed using a USB flash
drive). I just burned a CD, and verification resulted in the following in
dmesg:
[ 9765.123132] hda: DMA timeout retry
[ 9765.123135] hda: timeout waiting for DMA
[ 9768.720759] hda: irq timeout: status=0xd0 { Busy }
[ 9768.720763] ide: failed opcode was: unknown
[ 9773.413939] hda: DMA timeout retry
[ 9773.413943] hda: timeout waiting for DMA
I am booting with acpi_use_timer_override, but NOT all_generic_ide. The
CD has been verified by another computer, so the drive has no problems
with burning, only reading.
