Unfortunately there has been no correction with this issue, as Totem still drags files incorrectly from its filelist. Try it yourself:
1) start totem 2) ctrl+o OR click the add button, to open up a file list; note that this file list in Totem is the problem I have 3) make sure you go to a large folder with subfolders; as my videos folder is arranged that way. 4) Drag a file from Totem's filelist, and watch how it drags the wrong file in proportion to reverse alphabetical order. e.g. I'll drag a file starting with A, and it'll drag a file starting with X or Y depending on the size of my Videos directory. e.g. To further support my hypothesis, I dragged a file that's located somewhere close to the middle, and the error in offset dragging occurs somewhere in the middle as well. For me, a file located somewhere close to the middle was a video by "Mad Season"... what do you know it drags "Lamb of God", proportionately off by reverse alphabetical order as L is slightly above M, and videos whose filenames start with M are located somewhere directly in the middle of my videos folder. (It's important to emphasize yet again, this is a folder that contains subfolders; as I have found that this behavior doesn't occur in a folder without subfolders). It looks absolutely bizarre. Anyway, I have since stopped using the drag method from Totem's filelist. From Nautilus, I can drag the correct files 100% of the time into Totem's playlist. Either I do that, or I use the *add button in Totem to add files, which as I said in earlier posts will input the correct file to playlist. With regard to trying out Hardy Heron's implementation of Totem, I will wait until its official release date as it is just around the corner. I will post my results accordingly. My bet is that it will still be there, but I'm hopeful that it will be resolved. -Gary -- file list does not drag correct file to playlist https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/157940 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
