I've gotten X to load the fglrx driver by adding the following to my
xorg.conf:
Section "ServerFlags"
Option "AIGLX" "off"
EndSection
Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "0"
EndSection
But after adding them, I no longer have a desktop background, and I
can't right click on the desktop to change it. Also, transparency in
terminals has gone away. Any fixes coming soon?
