I am using an ATi Radeon 9600 graphic card with Hardy Alpha 6+ (with latest updates), and I can confirm the problem... I used the LiveCD with "safe graphics mode", as with default driver (ati, I think) the screen is powered off and there is nothing I am left to do. After the setup, I booted into my Hardy in safemode again, as GRUB was set to force vesa, and everything was allright. Until I installed fglrx, to try the proprietary drivers: nothing new, the system goes in bulletproof-X BUT mouse and keyboard are not active... So I tried to reboot, removed fglrx, reconfigured xserver-xorg (I think it found the ati oss driver), rebooted in standard mode, and... nothing new, monitor powered off and no mouse, keyboard or terminal to play with.
So, to sum up: I can confirm the bug, not only with Alpha6 liveCD, but also with hardy installed and updated as of today, March 14th 2008. -- Using Hardy Alpha live CD, I cannot use Full Graphics mode on any computer with ATI drivers. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/198149 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
