Public bug reported:

When trying to enable sharing services for the first time, I get lots of
odd behavior.

1. I right clicked on the Public folder and clicked on enable sharing.
2. I had both Unix and Windows selected then it preceded to download 8 packages
it said it needed to operate.
3. They installed.

Here is where it starts messing up.

4. The prompt from #1 popped back up.
5. I selected OK, thinking it would this time enable them since last time it
downloaded them (even though since I selected before I figured it would work
without).
6. The window popped back up, and again, and again....
7. I hit Cancel, it gives me the PolicyKit password prompt.
8. I enter my password and it goes to the Share Folder prompt.
9. Under the 'Share Through' pull down option I am only allowed the option 'Do
Not Share'
10. So even though the option says 'Do Not Share', the button options I have
are Cancel or Share.
11. My head hurts from having 'Do Not Share and Share as both being possible.
12. I click on Share.
13. I right click on the Public folder and go to sharing.
14. This time it gives me the Windows or Unix share options.

So multiple things go wrong in the process.
Also a suggestion, I think it would be good to just have the buttons Cancel and
OK, instead of Cancel and Share, since the pull down menu has the sharing
options, including Do Not Share.

Also I thought the package was shares-admin but I couldn't find the
package on here so I left it as I don't know.
